Negombo - black sails in the sunset.
ah... reminded me of an elvis costello songthese canvas-sailed catamarans cutting thru the Indian Ocean, probably in much the same way Marco Polo would have seen in the 14th century...

since the Portuguese were there, this small fishing town has had a majority of Roman Catholics
a fish's tale
the bones are left to dry in the sun, then cut up and grinded into meal.and a big sack is sold for Rs35, about 15p... what a job....
