back thru france

From St. Giron, a pretty ville in the foothills of the Pyrenees (weir)
Thru Bessines, a beautiful ville just off the A20, north of Limoges. (boulangerie open 7.55 of a sunday evening! yum!!)
and into a wet Paris for half a day. Vive la rues, vive le metro, vive Notre Dame

out thru France

the past doesn't go anywhere.
In France, this is very true. northern france is heavy with cenotapths and war graves, but even Maille, south of Tours, remembers. A memorial on a crossroads on the N10.
and then there is colour, sunflowers and oil seed rape, the latter is a clever taupalin over a peage (toll booth).
and life goes on in the squares and cafes.
