White Flowers.

A curious sight on the hill of Almodovar
Hundreds of white flowers.

Ironically, reminded me of a chilling cold war 80's drama;
'Edge of Darkness'

..."Emma's ghost appears to Craven and tells him of a time when black flowers grew, warming the Earth and preventing life from becoming extinct.... She tells him that the black flowers have returned and will melt the polar icecaps, destroying mankind so that life can continue."

ripples in time


da Vinci, one of the first in Europe to note sea fossils in high mountains, likened the tides to the breathing of the entire ocean, just as humans and animals breath. (precursor to GAIA i suppose)

Here on the side of Muckish (~600m) you can see the ripples of an ancient shoreline some 600 million years old...
