It is a primary reason Seville, a city build upon Cortes' & Pizarro's plunders, became the hub for expansion into Colombus' New World.

The Planets turn and if we're lucky we can see them
Spain being 40 degrees north means you have to tilt
your head to realise the horizontal plane of the planets
but, sure, it's easier to tilt the photo.

White Flowers.

Ironically, reminded me of a chilling cold war 80's drama;
'Edge of Darkness'

..."Emma's ghost appears to Craven and tells him of a time when black flowers grew, warming the Earth and preventing life from becoming extinct.... She tells him that the black flowers have returned and will melt the polar icecaps, destroying mankind so that life can continue."
